UPDATE: Police Use 15 Canisters to Smoke Out Child Predator

ABILENE, TX -- A SWAT team is in a standoff with a wanted leader of a child and woman prostitution ring leader.

According to KTXS, just before Christmas of 2018 a 14-year-old girl ran away from her home to live with 38-year-old Richard Earl Daniels Jr.

Abilene Police Department is now searching for Daniels after the victim told them the horrid stories of where she had been.

It began by Daniels just giving the child food and a place to stay. Then he began having sex with the child and giving her methamphetamine on a daily basis.

The victim told police that Daniels would force her to have sex with him.

The child was not the only person who Daniels was keeping either. The child told police that Daniels kept a woman there so that he could prostitute her for drugs and money.

Daniels would often threaten the two with knives and on some occasions would hit them with a hammer. The windows were also boarded up in the house.

On August 15 the Abilene Police and SWAT team raided a home with tear gas to get Daniels out of the home.

No word yet on the official arrest on Daniels but police know that he is inside of the home.

UPDATE 1:47 p.m.

Daniels has been arrested after SWAT used 15 canisters of tear gas to smoke him out.

He is now being transported to the Taylor County Jail.
