UPDATE: Police Say the 24-Year-Old Pregnant Woman was Beaten to Death

 

ABILENE, TX -- Three people have been arrested after a pregnant woman was killed on Saturday morning. 

According to KTXS, at around 2 a.m. on August 3 the Abilene Police Department responded to the residence on the 1700 block of S. 5th St for the report of an injured person. 

When police arrived they found 24-year-old Kelly Holder who was 20 weeks pregnant and unresponsive. 

Police say that she suffered apparent trauma. 

EMS was called in and Holder was taken to the hospital where she and the baby died. 

Alexander Christopher Lopez, 28, Courtney Dawn Whitney, 25, and Casey Rae Kennedy, 25, are charged with capital murder of multiple persons. They are al currently in the Taylor County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

UPDATE: 

The Abilene Police Department has now said that Kelly Holder was beaten to death. 

According to the arrest report, all three "partook in multiple assaults which lead to the death of the victim and her unborn child."
