SAN ANGELO, TX -- The Levelland Police Department search for 25-year-old Taylor Phillips is over after she was found in San Angelo.
According to the Levelland and Hockley County News Press, in February of 2019 the LPD received a call from the sister of Taylor Phillips saying that she had not seen or heard from her.
Then on Friday the San Angelo Police Department found Phillips and arrested her for outstanding warrants for theft of a firearm.
Police Chief of LPD Albert Garcia released the following statement:
“The Levelland Police Department would like to thank everyone who called and provided information about her whereabouts,” Garcia said. “We would also like to thank all the news affiliates who assisted our department in disseminating the information. I know it was due to everyone's effort and hard work that the family will be able to rest easy in knowing she has been found.”
“Throughout the course of the investigation, investigators had been receiving many calls, one of which pointed us to the San Angelo area,” Garcia said. “After reaching out to the agencies in that area, San Angelo Police did locate Miss Phillips in their city where she was ultimately arrested for outstanding warrants. Remember, Taylor's safety and welfare was our primary concern, not the warrants and we are just so pleased that she is alive and well. This is another example of how the our citizens and the great people in our state can make a difference.”
Phillips is currently in the Tom Green County Jail.
