UPDATE: Dogs and Helicopters Find Wanted Fugitive

 

FORT STOCKTON, TX -- A manhunt has been called for a wanted man out of Midland County. 

According to the Midland Reporter Telegram, the Pecos County Sheriff's Office is teaming up with the Texas Department of Public Safety, U.S. Border Patrol, and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to find a wanted fugitive out of Midland County. 

They are searching for him 20 miles North of Fort Stockton on Hwy 10-53. 

The suspected is wanted for evading arrest, resisting arrest and a felony warrant out of Midland County, according to the post.

The suspect described as heavy set  Hispanic male wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a black cap.

UPDATE:

An employee with the Pecos County Sheriff's Office says that the man has been taken into custody. 

The search began at 9:40 and has ended around 2:30 p.m. 

The man has been identified as Isreal Ortega Jr.
