Short Chase Lands Four Teens in Jail for Xanax, Guns, and Cocaine

 

ODESSA, TX -- Four Teenagers were arrested this weekend after a short chase that led police to seize Xanax, Cocaine, and Stolen Guns. 

According to CBS 7, on July 27 an off-duty officer with the Odessa Police Department was working at the La Playa Night Club when he was told about a group of men waving guns around outside of a gray Kia Soul. 

The officer then contacted the OPD and the vehicle was located. The officer then attempted to pull the driver over but the group fled the scene into a nearby alley. 

When the Soul stopped, the men jumped out of the car and began running. Police later caught them and found stolen guns on their person. 

Their car was also searched and police found a rifle inside of the vehicle, along with marijuana, THC cartridges, Xanax, and 11.7 grams of cocaine. 

Luis Armendariz, 17, was arrested for Evading with a Motor Vehicle “Felony 3.”

Dayton Lynn, 18, and Austin Subia, 18, were arrested for Possession of Marijuana “Misdemeanor B.”

Jonathan Almanza, 17, was taken in for two counts of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance “Felony 1”, two counts of Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon “Misdemeanor A”, Theft of a Firearm “SJF”, Possession of Marijuana “SJF”, Possession of a Dangerous Drug (Xanax) “Misdemeanor A”, and Evading Arrest “Misdemeanor A”.
