POLICE: San Angelo Man Allegedly Shot in the Head Checks into the Shannon Emergency Room

San Angelo, TX — San Angelo Police were dispatched to Shannon Medical Center Thursday afternoon for the report of a male shooting victim.

Officers arrived and learned that a San Angelo teen self-ambulated to the hospital via private vehicle and was subsequently treated for superficial non-life threatening injuries.

Scanner reports indicated the teen was the victim of a drive-by shooting and had been shot in the head with a .22 caliber bullet.

Police did not reveal how the male was shot, or whether it was a drive-by shooting, accident, or self-inflicted wound.
