69-Year-Old Man Indicted for Making a 15-Year-Old Touch Him

SAN ANGELO, TX -- An elderly man was indicted for two child sex charges after he made a 15-year-old touch his genitals.

On April 25, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office arrested Francisco Lamas and charged him with indecency with a child by sexual contact and sexual assault of a child. The deputies learned of this after the victim made an outcry to her mother about what had happened on October 22.

That night the child was walking when a Lamas drove up in a silver pickup truck and offered the child a ride. When the child got into the car he took her to his house on the 6400 block of FM 380. According to the affidavit, Lamas pulled down his pants, rubbed his genitalia on the child, and made her touch his genitalia.

Once the outcry happened the mother looked through her phone records and found a number that she did not know. She searched the number on Facebook and the number was linked to Lamas' Facebook page. She then showed a picture of the man to the daughter and she said that he was the man who took her that night.

Deputies went out to the house on FM 380 and found the silver truck that was registered in his name.

He was released that day on a $75,000 bond. He was then rearrested on June 5 after his bondsman told the judge that Lamas has not checked in since being bonded out and that he had been notified that Lamas left the jurisdiction.

He was in jail until the June 11 where he made his $100,000 bond.

He has a Post Indictment Reporting hearing on August 7 at 8:30 a.m.

something just not lining up here, more to this story, I think..........How did she already have his number in her phone?........

she was seeing this man on a regular basis, in exchange for money or drugs...possibly both.

Something pissed her off, or went wrong in their "arrangement" and she exposed the relationship, knowing that the old fart would pay heavily, and she'd take absolutely no responsibility for her indiscretion and poor judgement.

This was by no means a 5 year old being snatched from her front yard, as she played with her dolls, but the differentiation between a true child abduction/molestation and a scorned manipulative teenager and her sugar daddy will conveniently be ignored.

In a recent article here involving a similar situation which went to court, I recall a judge consoling the "victim" that she didn't know any better and surely wasn't responsible for anything which contributed to her situation, despite the fact that the ordeal resembled more of a relationship, albeit improper, than an outright rape.

I find these instances very odd, indeed. A teenager who robs a bank or assaults someone in collusion with adults, is still held to being an accessory, and pays the price accordingly.

I've yet to hear of a case where a judge comforts a suspected teenaged armed robber with the "you're but a child, and don't know any better" drivel.

Any evidence of an ongoing relationship between Mr. Lamas and the "victim" will assuredly be overlooked and ignored, as it just doesn't mesh well with the intended narrative.
