Drive-By Shooting Injures Child

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- At least one person was injured during what was described to us as a drive-by shooting in north central San Angelo Saturday night at around 10 p.m.

Police rushed to the 1800 block of Greenwood off N. Howard. Initial reports are that the shooting victim was a male juvenile, approximately 12 years old. His ambulance was escorted to a local hospital by police. 

Police have cordoned off the area in crime tape and were seen canvassing the neighborhood looking for clues. San Angelo Police Sgt John Bouligny who is the supervisor at the scene said police are in the initial stages of the investigation and said police will release more information soon.

After an overnight investigation, police now say the incident was an accidental shooting. More here.
