Former Jones County Sheriff Dies After Heart Attack

 

ANSON, TX -- A former Jones County Sheriff died Wednesday morning.

Larry Moore, 64, died Wednesday morning after he suffered a massive heart attack, his family told KTXS.

Moore dedicated his life to serving with 28 years in law enforcement. He spent a record 16 years as Sheriff of Jones County.

"Sheriff Moore was not only an exceptional Deputy, but a loving friend, father, husband, and grandfather," the sheriff's office said. "Sheriff Moore was the true definition of strength, perseverance, and compassion."

Moore's funeral arrangements have not been announced.
