Man Sentenced to Prison for Impregnating Mom and Touching Child

ABILENE, TX -- A man was found guilty by a jury yesterday for sexually abusing a 13-year-old child until she was pregnant and then inappropriately touching their child.

In May of 2018, the Abilene Police Department arrested John Johnson Jr. after a report had been made about Johnson touching a child. The mother of the child also told that it had happened to her as well.

She told police that when she was 13-years-old Johnson began abusing her and in March of 2014 she got pregnant and gave birth to a child. Police then gained a warrant to take DNA samples from Johnson. The DNA test came back positive stating that the child was in fact Johnson's.

The mother also informed police that Johnson had been inappropriately touching the child. During a forensic interview in April 2018, the victim's daughter said Johnson had inappropriately touched her.

According to KTXS, Johnson was found guilty of continuous sexual abuse of a child and pleaded guilty to prohibited sexual contact.

Johnson was sentenced to 35-years on each count. The sentences will run concurrently.
