SAN ANGELO, TX -- A Tom Green County Grand Jury indicted six people on murder charges on June 5 to June 13.
The first is Dewayne Chadwick, 36, who is indicted for the murder of Jared Lohse, 27, and Jack "Chubby" Harris Jr. The two men were found dead inside a burning house in the 4800 block of North Chadbourne on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Preliminary autopsy reports for Lohse and Harris determined the manner of death was homicide resulting from gunshots wounds. Chadwick, who was developed as a suspect early on in the investigation, was already in custody at the Tom Green County Jail on unrelated charges when the murder complaints were signed. Chadwick’s bond was set at two million dollars.
The second is 61-year-old Adolph Gonzales.Gonzales was indicted on the 32-year-old cold case for the death of Dovie Dykes.
On the morning of July 11, 1986, San Angelo Police officers were dispatched to 1026 Culberson St. for the report of a deceased person, identified as Dovie Dykes. Her body was found inside the residence by her niece, Belle Guess. Guess told Police that Dykes had recently expressed a concern for her own safety and that she felt a man in the neighborhood was going to “get her or rape her”. Autopsy results concluded that Dykes died as a result of cardiac arrhythmia she experienced during the assault.
The final four are all charged with the murder of Kristian rose. Kristian Rose, 26, was shot in the back while in his residence on 39th Street at around 3:40 a.m. the morning of April 2. Alexis Jackson, 26, Brian Garcia, 20, Jacob Martinez, 18, and Joshua Jaquez, 21, are the alleged party that killed rose and police say that Jaquez told them that Jackson was the mastermind behind the crime.
They will all begin their initial pretrials in August.
