Police: Baby Not Injured After Drunk Driver Plows into Home

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A man was arrested yesterday after crashing his truck into a house while being intoxicated.

On June 12, the San Angelo Police Department was dispatched to the 3300 block of Sierra Ct for the report of a truck crashing into a house.

When they arrived they found a Toyota Tundra inside the residence. The driver Raymond Taylor was questioned and police determined that he was intoxicated.

Inside the vehicle was another 46-year-old male passenger and he was taken to the hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

When the truck hit the house a bookshelf fell which caused the items on the shelf to fall inside of a baby's crib. The baby was evaluated at the scene by Fire Department Medics and cleared with no serious injury.

Taylor was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was booked into the Tom Green County Jail and was released the same day on a $1,000 bond.
