Man Arrested for Drive-by Shooting in Highland Range

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A man was arrested yesterday for shooting a handgun out of the window of a vehicle towards houses in Highland Range neighborhood. 

On June 2, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office received a call about someone shooting a gun out of their car window towards houses on FM 2288. 

Deputies arrived on scene and pull over a black Ram 3500 dually on the 7600 block of FM 2288. The deputies met with the driver who informed him that the passenger, 22-year-old Zachary Hestolow, had been firing the gun. 

After searching the truck deputies found a Glock 22 40 caliber pistol as well as a 40 caliber cartridge in the floor board. 

According to the affidavit, the firearm was witnessed being discharged in the direction of multiple occupied residence, playground. community mailboxes and a swimming pool in the Highland Range neighborhood. 

Hetolow was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct by discharging a firearm. He is currently in the Tom Green County Jail and his bond is set at $35,500.
