Man Arrested for Shooting Up Empty Car While Being Intoxicated

 

BROWNWOOD, TX -- A man was arrested on Memorial Day after shooting at an abandoned car while he was intoxicated. 

On May 27, Brownwood Police Department reponded to a shots fired at around 11:30 p.m. 

When they arrived they arrested 62-year-old John Hester. According to KTXS, He was determined to be the source of the gunfire, and the officers recovered a .22 caliber Ruger rifle from his residence.

When police met with him they determined that he was heavily intoxicated. 

Hester says that he was shooting out the tires of a vehicle he thought to be used by thieves.

Hester was arrested for Deadly Conduct/Discharge of a Firearm.
