New Warrant Issued for Accused Child Predator on the Run from Abilene

ABILENE, TX -- Authorities have issued a new arrest warrant for an Abilene man on the run, accused of having sex with boys .

Jeffrey Winston Forrest, 47, of Abilene, was a daycare worker in Abilene when he was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child in April 2015 and posted bail four days later. He failed to appear in court in 2016 has been on the run for roughly two years, according to KTXS.

Forrest was scheduled for a jury trial in August 2016. On May 9 of this year, he was charged with bail jumping and failure to appear, leading to the new warrant.

Records obtained by KTXS show Forrest's new bond will be set at $1 million.

His ex-wife, Jennifer Moore, said she had been harrased and threatened by her estranged husband ahead of her scheduled testimony in an earlier report. After Forrest allegedly confessed to multiple sexual relationships with boys, Moore moved to Denton, KTXS said.

Private Investigator Paul Smith, of Denton, told KTXS he believes Forrest lives in Los Angeles now, where he browses the dark web.
