BROWNWOOD, TX – The fourth person in the robbery that occurred on Tuesday Morning has been arrested .
The Brownwood Police Department has already charged Stephen Tackett, 24, for the robbery of Trevor King, 21 and McKinzie Smith, 22, apartment on May 7. King and Smith were also arrested that day for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.
Once Tackett was in custody he agreed to tell police what had happened that night. Tacket told police that he and Corbyn Shaw were talking and Tacket explained to him that he was broke and needed money. Shaw said he knew someone that they could rob for marijuana and then quickly sell it to get cash.
Police say that once Tackett and Shaw arrived at the apartment they placed bandanas across their face as well as grabbed a shotgun and a BB gun that looked like a pistol. They knocked on the door and hit King so hard in the head with the shotgun that it caused bleeding. King then pushed Tackett down the stairs and according to the Brownwood Bulletin beat him up. While these two were fighting Shaw ran away loosing his hats and shoes.
Tacket also told police that he had no idea who they were trying to rob prior to them arriving to the apartment.
Shaw was arrested the on Wednesday and was charged with aggravated robbery. He is currently in the Brown County Jail on a $100,000 fine.
