Drunk Midland Woman Arrested After Allegedly Trying to Give Her Baby Away

 

MIDLAND, TX – A Midland woman was arrested Sunday morning after she allegedly tried to give her baby away to people as they drove by her.

On Sunday at around 4:30 a.m. Midland Police were flagged down by several people concerning a woman who was standing on a street corner trying to give her baby away.

MPD officers approached the woman and found that she was 40-year-old Mandy Kennedy.

Police say that she had a very strong smell of alcohol coming off of her.

According to reports, Kennedy approached a vehicle, knocked on the drivers window, and then asked him if he wanted her baby.

She was then taken into custody and CPS was called for her 5-year-old daughter.

Kennedy was charged with abandoning or endangering a child by criminal negligence and possession of a substances and items in a correctional facility. Her bond is set at $10,000.
