Man Indicted After Deputies Find Meth and THC on HWY 208

SAN ANGELO, TX – A man has been indicted on March 7 after sheriff's deputies found over an ounce of methamphetamine and tetrahydrocannabinol during a traffic stop.

On January 30, deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on the 6700 block of HWY 208. After the deputy pulled the vehicle over they spoke with the 46-year-old driver Jonathan Allen.

Deputies say that Allen was showing signs of deception when being asked about narcotics. The deputy then called in a K-9 unit and it was alerted to narcotics inside the car.

According to the affidavit they found two bags of meth that weighed 37 grams, two vials of THC, and wax paper with THC wax on it.

Allen has been indicted for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
