51 Speeders Cited in Back-to-School LIDAR Operation

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Police Department's Traffic Section conducted a School Zone Traffic Enforcement Operation using LIDAR on Monday as schools returned from spring break. They monitored the school zones near Bonham Elementary, Bowie Elementary, Crockett Elementary, Fannin Elementary, Glenmore Elementary, Holiman Elementary, Lamar Elementary, and McGill Elementary campuses

They also conducted LIDAR on the westbound lanes of the 1700 block of Houston Harte.

A total of 61 citations were handed out along with 16 warnings between the two operations. Speeding accounted for 51 of the citations.
