Fugitive Burglar Wanted by San Angelo Police

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Investigators with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division have obtained an Arrest Warrant for Joshua Thomas Bonner, 33, of San Angelo, in connection to the early morning Burglary of a residence in the 2700 block of Tech Avenue on February 14, 2019.

According to the SAPD, Bonner is alleged to have used force to enter the backdoor of the occupied residence.  The resident escaped without harm and sought help from a neighbor.  Bonner reportedly stole a purse.

In the hours following the burglary, Investigators obtained surveillance video of a masked-suspect who was driving a black Nissan Titan pickup truck.  Through follow up investigation, Bonner was developed as a person of interest.

That same day, San Angelo Police Department Officials released portions of the surveillance video to the public in hopes of soliciting tips.  Although Bonner was already a person of interest, the Department received an anonymous Nixle Tip naming Bonner as the masked-suspect.

In an unrelated incident on February 20, 2019, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on the black 2010 Nissan Titan.  The driver, Bonner, was subsequently arrested for Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon.  Bonner was later released after posting surety bond.

After learning Bonner had certain items relating to the San Angelo burglary inside the truck, San Angelo Police Detective James Russell applied for a Search Warrant.  Upon completion of the search, Investigators seized several items that link Bonner to the burglary.

Bonner has an active Arrest Warrant for Burglary of Habitation.  If you have information about Bonner’s whereabouts please contact law enforcement.  To remain anonymous, tip online at http://bit.ly/SAPDTips247 or by text: text TIP SAPD to 888777 and follow the prompts.

This has turned from a lowlife daylight burglar to a friggin Home Invasion where the person had to leave their home in fear. And are lucky to be alive.
This calls for way more severe charges and jail time.
So very very sorry this doper scum didn't catch three 45's.
Remember one in the head and two in the chest is what is taught and recommended.

Then issue another arrest warrent. Did he skip? Why give him bail in the first place??

He posted bond on the drug charge before they figured out that some of his possessions were linked to the SA burglary.
His mug shot looks like he'd been tweaking for days. Good ole methamphetamine.
