SAPD Street Crimes Division Makes Meth Bust

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A search warrant lead to the arrest of two men for having a large quantity of methamphetamine on Tuesday.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on February 19 investigators with the San Angelo Police Department's Street Crimes Division executed an Evidentiary Search Warrant at a residence in the 5400 block of Ben Ficklin Road.

The warrant, issued by District Judge Jay Weatherby named 39-year-old Shannon McGhee to be in possession of Methamphetamine at the residence.

McGhee and 49-year-old David Steckling were located and detained during the search which yielded approximately four ounces of methamphetamine along with narcotic distribution paraphernalia.

McGhee and Steckling were charged with First Degree Felony Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and transported to the Tom Green County Jail.

The Department's Patrol Division, K-9 Unit, and the Center for Tactical Medicine assisted with yesterday's operation.
