Woman Missing Under Unusual Circumstances Found Safe in Another County

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo woman went missing early this morning and the circumstances behind her disappearance worry authorities.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, Rachel Thomas, 26, was last seen walking her dog while wearing a bah robe at the Creekside Apartments, 3018 Knickerbocker Rd. at around 3 a.m.

Later this morning, her dog was found wandering around the apartments. Then, her cell phone was discovered on the grounds there.

Rachel, pictured above, is described as 5’ 8” with brown hair and eyes. She weighs 250 pounds, according to police.

Police are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to call 9-1-1 or call the non-emergency dispatch line at (325) 657-4315.

UPDATE 12:36 p.m.: Rachel Thomas was found safe in another county, according to San Angelo police. The police did not say in what county we was located, how she got there, or why she left her dog to wander around the apartment grounds where she also dropped her cell phone. We were not told if she was still wearing a bath robe either.
