SAN ANGELO, TX -- The San Angelo Police Department is asking for help finding suspects in a possible robbery gone wrong that left a man hospitalized with a gunshot wound.
Police were dispatched to the 300 block of N. Madison St. just before 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, for the report of a 23-year-old man who had been shot. When they arrived on scene, officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound as well as injuries suffered during the assault.
The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and is in stable conditions according to police.
The investigation revealed evidence of drug paraphernalia believed to be linked to the distribution of narcotics and marijuana. Members of the Criminal Investigations Division and Street Crimes Division believe the assault and robbery stemmed from drug related activity.
The unidentified suspects were reportedly one unmasked blonde white man with a mustache and three masked men.
