Report: Details on Truck Wanted in Connection to Drive-By Shooting

ABILENE, TX-- Abilene police are asking the public's help in identifying a person of interest believed to be connected to a drive-by shooting in Abilene.

The Abilene Police Department posted on Facebook this past Sunday that they were looking for information on the truck pertaining to "an ongoing investigation." It is believed to be a "white or light colored" Chevrolet extended cab. Police also believe the "rocker panel [is] a different color or something else on them."

However, police did not say what the ongoing investigation was. A witness told KTXS that the truck is wanted in connection to the drive-by that happened on Duke Lane at 2 a.m. Wednesday morning.

KTXS was also told that the victims were 14 and 19 years old. They were shot while sleeping according to the report. The report also says the two victims were treated and released from Hendrick Medical Center.

Anyone with information on the truck of its location is encouraged to call Abilene Crime Stoppers at (325) 676-8477 (TIPS).
