Two Shoplifters Apprehended Tuesday at Walmart on 29th Street

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A man and a woman were arrested for shoplifting in separate incidents at the Walmart Supercenter on 29th St. and N. Bryant Tuesday.  

According to the San Angelo Police Department, 25-year-old Richard Morris Delacruz was attempting to steal a laptop computer when he was arrested.  He was arrested for criminal trespass and attempting to destroy and removal and concealing writing because he took the laptop out of its packaging.

And 32-year-old Bonnie Lara Lopez was arrested failing to identify herself criminal trespass and theft of property when she was arrested.  She was also charged with going off bond for previous convictions during the shoplifting investigation.

DELACRUZ, RICHARD MORRIS- age 25 was arrested for Criminal Trespass and Fraud-Destroy Removal Concealment Writing AFTER Police were dispatched to the Walmart on W. 29th Street for the report of shoplifters. Delacruz removed a laptop computer and concealed it prior to the attempted theft.

JETER, SAMUEL BENJAMIN- age 24 was arrested for Unlawful Carrying Weapon (Firearm), Class B Misdemeanor Possession Marijuana and Possession/Delivery Drug Paraphernalia during a traffic stop in the 700 block of E. 19th Street.

LOPEZ, BONNIE LARA- age 32 was arrested for Fail to Identify Giving False/Fictitious Information, Criminal Trespass and a *GOB warrant for Theft of Property <$2,500 2/ More Previous Convictions after she lied to Police about her identity during a shoplifting investigation at the Walmart on W. 29th Street.

RICHARDS, RICHARD EUGENE- age 45 was arrested for Burglary of Building after Police were dispatched to Concho Iron for the report of a burglary where the victim was detaining the suspect until Police arrived. Richards tried to steal nearly 60 lbs. of copper.
