BRECKENRIDGE, TX-- The son of Mitchel and Terry Sullivan says the murder of his parents was beyond his control.
Mitchel and Terry Sullivan’s bodies were found Friday afternoon in their home. Terry's brother in-law, Mark Dempsey, came to check on Mitchel after he would not answer his phone, and was not seen at work that day.
Just as Dempsey had gotten to the home the Sullivan's son, Paxton Sullivan, was leaving. Dempsey asked where his parents were, and he replied saying that his mother was not feeling good, and his father was taking a nap.
Paxton left, while Dempsey proceeded into the house. When he reached the bedroom he saw the couple laying on the bed, covered with a blanket, with a pale colored foot near the edge of the bed.
Dempsey then left the house and called the authorities. On his way out he saw a baseball bat that was covered in blood.
When the Breckenridge police arrived they found the two bodies had already been deceased, and had been killed with blunt force trauma to the head.
Stephen’s County Sheriff Deputies later located Paxton SUV in front of a hotel called "The Boar's Den." Paxton willingly walked out and laid on the ground where he was then arrested.
Paxton had been involved in many of family violence complaints where the victims said they were scared Paxton would kill them. When the deputies asked him why he killed his parents he responded, "He’s hiding, there is a demon inside me, you see what he did.”

PermalinkHe'll be asked to swear on a Bible, an intended symbolic gesture of "truth" and it's necessity, yet, his "demons" will surely be dismissed as delusions or lies.
Odd, isn't it?
