Teen Arrested in String of Convenience Store Robberies

 

ABILENE, TX-- Authorities in Abilene have arrested one teenager wanted in connection with a string of convenience store robberies last week.

KTXS in Abilene reports that Kariem Alejandro Quickel, 17, was arrested by Abilene Police on Friday. Police are still looking for a second suspect.

Quickel and his alleged accomplice are accused of stealing money and/or cigarettes in a string of seven robberies last week.

Quickel is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery. He was also charged with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

He is currently being held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling $608,430.
