KERRVILLE, TX -- A Kerrville woman has pleaded guilty to four counts of injury to a child in connection with the deaths of her two daughters in June of 2017.
Amanda Hawkins, 20, is accused of leaving her daughters in her car overnight and until noon the next day while she was inside a residence with friends.
She is charged with two counts of abandoning/endangering a child with imminent bodily injury and two counts of injury to a child according to Kerrville Breaking News.
The children, ages one and two, died as a result of being left in a hot vehicle.
Hawkins took a plea deal offered by the District Attorney’s office. In exchange for her guilty plea, the District Judge will sentence Hawkins who is facing two to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000 on each of the four charges.
