SAN ANGELO, TX-- A man was shot late Thursday night in northern San Angelo in what may have been a targeted assault, according Police.
San Angelo Police and paramedics responded to a shooting call around 11:30 p.m. at 908 E. 20th St., according Sgt. Antoine Callum.
Upon arrival, first responders found a man had been shot and was trying to transport himself to the hospital in his personal vehicle. Paramedics stopped the injured man so they could transport him to the hospital via ambulance, Callum said.
Callum added the injuries the victim suffered "appeared to be non life-threatening.”
“[The shooting] does not appear to be random,” Callum said. “[The victim] was possibly targeted. So, there’s no danger to the general public outside of this isolated incident here.”
