SAN ANGELO, TX — This week the arrests by the San Angelo Police Department have varied from public intoxication to stopping the selling of a prohibited weapon. The following are people and their charges from the police arrest blotter:
John Taylor Edwards, 26, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury on Tuesday after police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Southland for the report of a disturbance.
Mathew Mitz, 17, was arrested for walking on wrong side of highway and theft of property on Tuesday after police were dispatched to the 1100 block of E. 43rd Street for the report of a suspicious subject that was checking door handles in the area. Mitz was also found to be in possession of stolen property.
Charles Ray Partain, 57, was arrested for theft class c and public intoxication on Tuesday after police were dispatched to the Stripes at 1802 S. Bryant Blvd. for the report of a shoplifter.
Armando Cruz, 31, was arrested for a warrant for theft of property and subsequently charged with prohibited weapon on Wednesday after Cruz attempted to sell a prohibited weapon in the parking lot of the HEB on Sherwood and Ave N.
Juan Victorio Quintana, 27, was arrested for criminal trespassing habitat/shelter/superfund/infrastructure after police were dispatched to the 700 block of W. 17th Street for the report of an unwanted subject that was trespassing.
Anthony James McCarthy, 57, was arrested for public intoxication and warrants for public intoxication and failure to appear after police were dispatched to E. 7th and N. Chadbourne for the report of an intoxicated person.
