Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputies have long guns drawn and K9 units are deployed searching for the man who stole a Kawasaki Ninja 650 from the pre-sales prep area at Family Power Sports.
The search area has widened towards Bryant Blvd/US 277 at Loop 306 with dogs and rifles drawn. From observation, it appears the thief got away for now. But police have him on video at the bike store.

From 11:30 a.m. today:
San Angelo police, Tom Green County Sheriff’s deputies and the Texas DPS are furiously searching for the thief of what was described as a green “Ninja-like” motorcycle. It was actually a brand new green and black Kawasaki Ninja 650, according to the general sales manager at Family Power Sports.
The thief was caught on Family Power Sports video taking the motorcycle from the sales preparation area at the store. This is where bikes that are sold are cleaned up and prepped for delivery to a customer. The bike had the key in it, awaiting its turn to be prepped by the service department.
The thief rode off on the motorcycle at around 10 a.m.
The perimeter searching for the thief is in south San Angelo near the intersection of Kimrey Ln. and Woodwind Dr. right off Ben Ficklin Rd.
