Police Identify Suspected Ninja Thief

 

SAN ANGELO, TX--  San Angelo Police have identified a suspect that may have led them and Tom Green County Sheriff's Deputies on a 30-minute chase.

James McManus, 33, was arrested and charge with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after stealing a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle from Family Powersports. 

The alleged theft happened around 10:45 a.m. according to Sgt. Matthew Vaughn of the San Angelo Police Department.

SAPD told the Tom Green County Sheriff's office they felt the suspect was heading out of the city limits.

Sheriff's Deputies located the motorcycle around 11:15 a.m. McManus had apparently abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. A San Angelo Police Officer then later located McManus.
