San Angelo Police Catch 94 Speeders on the First Day of School

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- (Press Release) The San Angelo Police Department’s Traffic Section conducted a School Zone Traffic Enforcement Operation utilizing LIDAR in numerous school zones throughout San Angelo from 7 – 8 a.m. the first day of school.

Following the School Zone Operation, LIDAR Traffic Enforcement targeting high crash areas was conducted in the 5100 block of Knickerbocker, 1000 block of S. Abe, and the 3400 block of Sherwood Way from 8 – 10 a.m.  

From 9:30 a.m. – noon, additional LIDAR Traffic Enforcement was conducted targeting the 4200 block of Houston Harte.

Other/Misc. Violations: 4

No Insurance: 3

Speeding: 30

Warnings: 13

No DL: 1

Crash Zones: 

Other/Misc. Violations: 4

No Insurance: 3

Speeding: 37

Warnings: 3

Houston Harte:

Driving While License Invalid: 1

Other/Misc. Violations: 1

No Insurance: 2

Speeding: 27

Warnings: 3

No DL: 3
