Man Arrested for Indecency with Child by Contact

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man was arrested for indecency with a child by contact Monday which is a 2nd Degree Felony.

Fidencio Garcia, 62, was arrested by Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office after an investigation was conducted by the San Angelo Police Department and their Criminal Investigation Division.

According to court documents, on July 7, Garcia drove the victim, younger the 17, from the 400 block of N. Jackson St to Freeland St. Garcia drove the victim to Dollar General to buy “assorted candy.”

During the forensic interview with the victim, the investigating agency discovered that Garcia drove the victim around awhile putting his hand under the victim’s shorts.

Garcia sits in Tom Green County jail and no bond is posted at this time.
