SAN ANGELO, TX — On Friday, Donald Hejl, 78, was arrested by the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office for possession or promotion of lewd visual material depicting a child.
According to court documents, the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children assigned a case regarding an unknown person using an IP address that uploaded two photo images of suspected child pornography.
The IP address belonged to Suddenlink Communications, who was contacted for the information about the user. Suddenlink's information revealed that the IP address belonged to the subscriber Don Hejl in the 3600 block of Tridens Trail.
The Sheriff obtained a warrant signed by District Judge Ben Woodward and executed the search at the residence.
Eight images were discovered in the residence. The images were of one young female victim.
Hejl stated to the investigating detective that he took photos of the victim when she was 7 or 8 years old. Hejl stated that he was in possession, had viewed, and had stored images of child pornography on his computer.
Hejl was arrested Friday. As of Monday afternoon, he is being held without a bond.
