Man Arrested After Assaulting Woman for Cheating on Him with an Aryan Circle Gang Member

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man was arrested after police responded to unknown problem at the Executive Inn & Suites, 4205 S. Bryant Blvd. Aaron Arnold Lange, 50, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the initial investigation.

Officers made contact with the alleged victim who informed officers that Lange had first confronted her while she was in the laundry room of the motel. The victim told officers he pushed her and forced her into her room where “he put his left forearm to her throat trying to choke her and used his right hand to hold a brown and silver folding blade box cutter to her throat and threatened to kill her,” according to court documents.

The victim wrote in her statement with officers that Lange said, “…could not wait to hear me try to breathe through the blood bubbles.” Lange then broke the victim’s phone in half in front of her.

According to the victim’s statement, the victim told Lange that someone had called the police and he told her that if she told the cops what he did, he would kill her when he got out of jail.

The victim said she lied to the initial officers who responded and then left the area.

The victim then stated she walked to the Stripes convenience store and that Lange had followed her there. He tried to confront her and threw her property away. The victim snuck out the back of the store and returned to the room at 4205 S. Bryant.

Investigating officers advised in the complaint that they “did not see any visible injury related to the claim of the victim," but officers found items inside the room that had been cut apart with clean lines showing a sharp edge destroyed the property.

The officers also located a brown and silver folding box cutter matching the victim’s description in a U-Haul Truck outside the room.

Lange had city warrants for his arrest, so he was arrested and placed in the back of a patrol vehicle.  Lange waived his rights and was interviewed with officers in the back of the vehicle.

Lange claimed the victim was cheating on him with an Aryan Circle gang member. Lange claimed an argument took place in the room with the victim hitting him across the face but he denied the assault to police on the initial response from police.

According to Lange’s interview, “(Lange) advised that an unknown female yelled at him to stop arguing with the victim,” and “(Lange) relinquished the knife to the Aryan Circle member previously mentioned.”

Lange admitted to confronting the victim in the room, but denies threatening the victim or displaying a weapon, he confirms having the knife in the room and cutting the property up, but denies following the victim to Stripes.

“The defendant began by saying how much he cared about the victim, but ended by describing her as “trash” and saying he would use her sexual desires against her in court,” according to the complaint. “The defendant acknowledged he had no diagnosis of any behavioral or medical conditions to cause mood swings.”

Lange is being held in Tom Green County jail for in lieu of $50,000. Lange is not allowed to make contact with the victim.
