San Angelo Police Nab Shoplifters at Two Different Walmarts Monday

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — The Monday booking report shows 22 people arrested and booked in Tom Green County jail. The following people and their charges are from the San Angelo Police Department arrest blotter:

Richard Delacruz, 25, was arrested for theft of property and evading arrest or detention after police were dispatched to the Walmart on Sherwood Way for the report of a shoplifter who stole a camera. Delacruz evaded the responding officer by running several laps around the store while several Walmart employees assisted the officer by relaying Delacruz’s direction of travel. Delacruz eventually made the mis-steak of running down the meat aisle, where he was then detained by an off duty SAPD Patrol Sergeant and a Walmart employee. This incident should serve as a reminder to shoplifters that a five-finger discount will get you a red and blue light special.

Danny Trevino Lara, 27, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury after police were dispatched to the San Angelo Lodge, 1717 W. Beauregard, for the report of an assault. Michael Don Guevara, 29, was arrested for assault class c and Jennifer Marie Duron, 33, was arrested for warrants.

Pedro Carlos Robledo, 35, was arrested for theft class c and evading arrest or detention after police were dispatched to the Walmart on W. 29th Street for the report of a theft in progress involving two men. A keen-eyed officer located the pair in the 200 block of W. 29th and attempted to detain the men; however, Robledo fled. Robledo was eventually located by additional responding officers and he was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect who obeyed officer’s commands during the detention received a citation for class c theft.

William Andrew Torres, 32, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury-family violence and six warrants following a family violence investigation in the 1600 block of S. Bryant Blvd.
