Abilene Police are Searching for Man Suspected of Fraud

ABILENE, TX — The Abilene Police Department began getting several reports over the weekend from bank customers from Abilene Teachers Federal Credit Union stating their credit card information was stolen. All reported their accounts were fraudulently charged hundreds of dollars by suspects using ATM machines in varying convenience stores around Abilene.

The Abilene Police Department is asking anyone who may be a victim to contact the non-emergency number, 673-8331, to file a report. Bank customers should review their bank account information for any suspicious activity.

Surveillance cameras did pick up two suspects who used stolen bank account information from one of the victims to withdraw money from a convenience store. If you have any information on these suspects you are urged to call Abilene Crime Stoppers, (325) 676-8477 (TIPS). You will remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward.
