Meth Pusher Walks Away From Federal Prison Camp Overlooking High School Near El Paso

 

ANTHONY, TX - Authorities are searching for an inmate who walked away from La Tuna Satellite Camp Prison on Tuesday.

Omar Castro was discovered missing from the minimum security prison camp about 5:05 p.m., officials said.

Castro, 38, is described as an Hispanic male, with black hair, brown eyes, 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighing approximately 195 pounds.

The U.S. Marshals Service and other law enforcement agencies are investigating.

Castro was serving 108 months in prison for conspiracy to possess with intent to
distribute methamphetamine.

The Camp at La Tuna prison currently houses 314 male offenders in Anthony, TX 28 miles north of El Paso.
