Police Still Hunting Suspect in College Hills Drive By Shooting

SAN ANGELO, TX -- (Press Release) San Angelo Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly shot a San Angelo Teen during a house-party in College Hills early Sunday morning.

As we reported early Sunday, Police were dispatched to the area of Harvard Avenue and Johnson Street around 2:40 a.m. for the report of shots fired and a large number of juveniles and vehicles fleeing the area.

During Police response, Officers located one of the reported involved vehicles disabled in the parking lot of the Holy Angels Church, 2309 A & M. Police determined the vehicle was occupied by several juvenile partygoers, including a shooting victim, who told Officers they fled the location following the incident. The male victim, 18, was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives with the San Angelo Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division responded to the scene. Following multiple interviews, Investigators learned the shooting happened outside a residence in the 2600 block of Harvard during an altercation between the victim and a suspect that was described as a male wearing a red T-shirt. The suspect reportedly fled the scene driving a silver or light-colored Dodge Charger prior to police arrival.
