DPS Dive Team Finds Missing Evidence in Lytle Lake

UPDATE

The evidence that law enforcement is searching for in Lytle Lake appears to have been found.

The cell phone that APD and DPS have been searching for in connection to an ongoing investigation has been recovered.

A picture taken by KTXS has a diver with what appears to be a cell phone in his hand.

At this time, it is not known what case the cell phone is related to.

The investigation is ongoing.

ABILENE, TX — Abilene Police Department and the Texas Department of Public Safety are searching Lytle Lake. Many people have seen the agencies with divers in the water and crews on the shoreline.

According to KTXS, the Abilene police are searching the water “for a cell phone in reference to an investigation.”

APD is telling residence there is no reason to be concerned, the agencies are just following up on an investigation.
