Two Coleman Residents Arrested After Robbing Man they Followed Home

COLEMAN, TX — On May 18, officers with the Coleman Police Department were dispatched to a reported robbery in the 300 block of Vale St.

Patrick Warrick, 24, and Trent Thompson, 17, both of Coleman, were arrested on charges of aggravated robbery on June 4.

Officers contacted the victim, a 69-year-old male, who told them that a white male had jumped him from behind, struck him several times and took his wallet.

During the police investigation into the robbery, two suspects had followed the victim home from a local store after talking to him in the parking lot. One of the suspects then approached the victim's residence by foot and asked to use the phone.

After making a couple of calls, the suspect then reportedly jumped the victim from behind and stole the wallet.

The victim recognized the attacker as one of the two men from the store and the other as an ex-coworker.

Bond for Warrick and Thompson were set at $50,000 each.
