Odessa Man Charged with Sexual Assault of a Child

 

ODESSA, TX — An Odessa man is behind bars today after police received a report that he had been sexually assaulting a girl over the span of several years.

Leoncio Espinoza, 43, has been charged with sexual assault of a child, a 2nd degree felony.

According to CBS 7, Odessa police said their department received a report of a sexual assault involving a 15-year-old girl.

According to Odessa police, the investigation revealed that the girl had been sexually assaulted for the past ten years by a person she knew. It is believed by the authorities that it is the suspect, Espinoza.

A warrant for Espinoza was obtained and he was arrested and booked in Ector County jail last Wednesday.
