Police: PaulAnn Death Investigation Points to Double Suicide

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo police said the death investigation at the residence in the 2800 block of McGill Blvd. in the PaulAnn subdivision appears to be a double suicide.

Police detectives and the SAPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Division responded to the residence after two bodies were discovered in the residence by San Angelo Fire Department’s EMS at around noon on Saturday, April 28. The Fire Department responded after being notified of a foul odor emitting from the house. The two, one male in his 60s and a woman in her mid-40s, had been dead for several days.

Justice of the Peace Fred Buck ordered autopsies of the two, whose bodies were transported to the medical examiner in Lubbock. The preliminary review of the medical examiner’s office supports the SAPD detective’s theory. The couple committed suicide.

Police investigators are awaiting a final ruling from the medical examiner about the autopsies before determining the final cause of the couple’s death.

Police are withholding the names of the two victims.
