Police Crime Scene Tape Surrounds PaulAnn Death Investigation

SAN ANGELO, TX — A home in the 2800 block of McGill Blvd., located in the PaulAnn subdivision in San Angelo’s northeast side, was a beehive of police activity over the weekend. Saturday, police investigators were observed working in and around the house into the evening hours.

The call happened Saturday late morning or early afternoon, April 28.

The call for service began as a report of a death. From then on, police maintained the investigation was merely a “death investigation.” Police tape went up and a Crime Scene Investigations vehicle parked in front of the residence.

Neighbors messaged us frequently asking what was happening and why no news about the incident was published anywhere. Should neighbors be concerned about their safety? We contacted Cpl. Tracy Gonzalez, spokeswoman for the San Angelo Police Department.

“If safety was an issue to nearby neighbors, the San Angelo Police Department would have notified neighbors,” she stated in a text Sunday afternoon.

On the NextDoor app, neighbors were sharing what they knew about the house on McGill with the police tape. “The police still haven’t issued a press release. I wonder if they will or if they’ve decided not to, being as media didn’t pick up on this,” one neighbor speculated. Others informed their neighbors that detectives had knocked on their door and informed them there was nothing to be concerned about.

So far, police have remained mum on what really happened on McGill Blvd.
