Brady PD Busts Guy Accused of Being a Pot Reseller

 

BRADY, TX – (Press Release) Thursday, April 26, Brady Police observed a traffic violation and initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of South Bridge and East 9th Street. 

Upon making contact with the driver, identified as 32-year-old Daniel Mehler of San Antonio, the officer could immediately smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the passenger compartment of the vehicle.  The officer conducted a probable cause search and found the following:

  • Large clear plastic bag containing approximately 25 grams of marijuana
  • Electronic cigarette containing a transparent brown substance that tested positive for THC wax/THC oil
  • Blue duffle bag that contained 37 small, round containers that were marked for the redistribution or resale of marijuana

Mehler was placed under arrest and transported to the McCulloch County Jail where he was booked.  Mehler was charged with Possession of Controlled Substance (Penalty Group 2) Less than a gram, a State Jail Felony and Possession of Marijuana, Less than 2 ounces, a class B Misdemeanor.
