Police Arrest Driver who Used Pickup to Ram SUV Outside Police Headquarters

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — (SAPD Press Release) The driver of a white 1997 Toyota Tacoma who intentionally rammed into an SUV at Police Headquarters on March 21, 2018 has been arrested. 

Carlos V. Mejia, 36, of San Angelo, turned himself in at Police Headquarters this afternoon.  Mejia was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and booked into the Tom Green County Jail. 

Late last week, San Angelo Police Patrol Officers acted on an anonymous tip and subsequently located the pickup truck.  Mejia was brought to Police Headquarters for interview and advised of his pending charge. 

Detective R. Cercone was the lead investigator for this case.
