Two Apprehended in Felony Drug Bust on Wednesday in Ballinger

 

BALLINGER, TX-- An undercover drug operation by Ballinger police landed two Abilene residents in the Runnels County Jail early Wednesday morning, reported the Runnels County Register.

Stan Maresch, Chief of Ballinger PD, told Runnels County Register the operation began around 4 a.m. and concluded in front of a Stripes convenience store.

Officers gathered information before an undercover officer negotiated the sale of the narcotics with the two individuals. The undercover officer was then shown the drugs which was known to be methamphetamine. The officers subsequently seized the 12.3 grams of methamphetamine.

The two suspects, one female and one male, were booked into the Runnels County Jail on third degree felony charges of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance. 

The investigation is currently ongoing.
