SAPD Street Crimes Division Makes Heroin Arrests

 

SAN ANGELO, TX--(SAPD) Pursuant to an ongoing investigation into heroin trafficking within the city of San Angelo and outlying area, the Department’s Street Crimes Division directed an early morning traffic stop on a maroon Dodge pickup truck in near Loop 306 and Foster Road.

The stop, conducted by members of the Department’s K9 Unit and Patrol Division, resulted in the seizure of approximately 48 grams of suspected heroin as well as drug paraphernalia commonly used to traffic narcotics.  

The vehicle’s occupants, which were both suspects in the ongoing investigation, were identified as Carlos Morales, 65, of San Angelo, and Herman Lopez, 53, of Seguin, Texas.

Morales and Lopez have been charged with First Degree Felony Manufacture Delivery of Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Herman was additionally booked for an outstanding Parole Violation Warrant.
