Brownwood Lawyer Arrested New Year’s Eve for Allegedly Slapping his Wife

 

BROWNWOOD, TX -- Brownwood Police arrested a Brownwood attorney for assaulting his wife New Year’s Eve at a Court Appointed Special Advocates fundraiser.  

According to reports from the Brownwood P.D., 54-year-old Tommy Adams was arrested after police were called to the Brown County Youth Fair Expo barn at 11:05 p.m.  Police report they arrested a man who walked up to a woman and struck her in the face.  The woman had marks on her face consistent with the account.  She was identified as the man’s spouse.  

Adams was arrested and booked into the Brown County Jail and was released on a personal recognizance bond.  He was charged with assault causing bodily injury family violence.
